I'd get a second opinion about that. I can't quite tell what yours look like from your portfolio though... but I'd still find someone else to talk to about it. Maybe bring in some pics of what you like, and see if they can do something similar?...

It depends entirely on what you need. Cream wise I recommend make up forever or Ben Nye. Powder look at mac, illamasqua or make up forever. Liquid options include dura and sb for airbrush.
Powder look at mac pigments or models own it.
