That's a major code change.  Will need to talk to Chris about it.

Boy, is his Tuesday gonna suck.  But since we're working on OTHER major code changes for the contest (like working credits & linking winners to ALL those who're part of the image) we might as well pile on, right?  big_smile

*Laugh * Yeah I will let you give him this news (I doubt he will be troubled by it, just not something I am in a good position to do right now.)

BTW, sorry for the delay answering, I generally leave the contest forums to the contest volunteers unless they tell me there's an issue.  sad

James, we had talked earlier about having posts to the Contest forums shown on the front page - can we please have that changed?  I don't routinely look at the Forum page but simply watch the front page, unless I need to go into Admin for contest reasons.  Thx.

I'll check with the guys.  Seems reasonable.

Long as I wandered into the forums with another post, thought I'd give this a bump.

It's been awhile now, anything going to change? The playing field really ought be level, particularly on landscape orientated pics.

AFAIK, and I will check with Chris about it, this is all part of a big upcoming revision.  I'll ping him.

Speaking of which..... Just what is the status of the revision as it was expected months ago? I've noticed quite a few "distractions" listed on FB that seem to have delayed or derailed said improvements here.

Not complaining....just confuzzled again.

Which brings me to another thought. This 800 pixel width for a center playing field in websites was set years ago, when people had smaller screens & smaller screen resolution. Given the statistics I've read for the past few years, well over 50%+ viewers are set at 1600. Why haven't sites at least changed their configuration to at least 1000 now?

I agree with this, and to take it another step, monitors have evolved to nearly universal "wide screen."  So why are images limited to a lower size horizontally than vertically?
