Top Learning Lighting

I am pretty new to photography but have gotten pretty comfortable with the functions and use of my DSLR. Now I need to tackle the lighting aspect. I have 3 speed lights with different modifiers to start off with. Anyone with any good advise on the basics of lighting and lighting setups?
Thanks for you time

First I would recommend you read this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/8 … e_and.html

That will tell you about the basics of light, later you can then look for sites like strobist and others.

Tried some simple lighting for head shots. Let me know what you think. Upload a few more in my gallery.
