Honestly, the overall look of the images is dated. It's the portrait studio look of the 80s and early 90s, with the requisite colored light on the background etc. Maybe that's the specific look you're after, but if it's not, you might want to browse some 'fashion' images online, as well as picking up some magazines, major agency model portfolios online, etc. to get a feel for a more current look.
