Top So can i talk about diet pills....

and stuff on this site without out people bitching and telling me that they are unhealthy?

I know how to eat.

I know how to exercise.

Sometimes you have events coming up and you may need an extra "boost" to get you in shape in a faster amount of time.

I am posting this thread so that people can have a list of products that may work to help them achieve their goals faster.  Anyone that has tried something and actually had results, please post them.  (You can also post about things you're tried that didn't work so people will know what products/diet plans to avoid).

*Any one reading this thread should also be advised/aware that proper diet and exercise is always the best method and will help you to reach your goals long term.*

**and anyone considering ranting about how unhealthy it is, please go make your own thread and do not ruin this one**

I'm not usually one for promoting products, but if anyone has heard of Alli, try it.

Nicole- Alter Ego,

I know exactly where you are coming from.  I exercise daily whether it is hitting up the gym or performing at work; however, there are times that I need an extra boost espically during the times I feel like I have hit a plateau.  After hearing several people talk about Alli I decided to try it and I must say it was worth the money.  It is a bit of a pain having to remember to take the pills 3 times everyday, but it does help with losing a bit of extra weight and you have to follow their "food" outlines.

I think the real frustrating issue is that some products work for some people, but not all products work for all people - and some products don't work at all, or can even be harmful.

There's such a myriad of misinformation out there that it's hard to tell truth from bad opinion.

Me, I'm not even a model, but I'm a guy who could stand to lose 20 pounds or so. I'm 190 at 5'9" and really should be 170. If there were a pill that worked for me, as part of a diet and exercise, I'd probably try it. As it is, the few I tried just did a number on me and made me feel terrible. So clearly they're not for me.

But if they work for someone and don't cause harm, well, we're all adults and we make our own life decisions, right?

I just need to find time to take that 45 minute walk every day instead of working on the computer!

Have you had any troubles with it?  I know the Alli web site warns of "gas with oily spotting, loose stools, and more frequent stools that may be hard to control."  Some have referred to this as explosive diarrhea.

The Alli web site () recommends wearing dark pants and taking a change of clothes to work in case you uncontrollably poo your pants. That's probably useful advice.

I never had any problems with it, but I never ate a lot of fatty foods while taking it either. It's my understanding that those problems only occur when too much fat is included in your diet.

Yeah the explosive diarrhea associated with fat anti-metabolics is the users punishment for thinking that they can just take a pill and lose weight while continuing to eat like shit.  Go ahead and take it, it's a useful tool just like anything else, but it will work best if you knock off the Carl's Jr.  Additionally, its primary designed purpose is to prevent metabolizing of newly-introduced fats (pass them on through), it really doesn't do a lot in the way of causing already-present fat cells to reduce in volume.

I only tried one type of diet pill and it didn't work.
I tried the Green Tea ones, it didn't do anything.  In fact I put on 4 pounds, even though I was on a strict diet and exercise routine
